In private – the happy husband of Anna Wojtarowicz, father of Julia and Marta, co-carer of the rescue dogs Lusia and Pszczółson and the cat Kota, and the owner of a cherry-red 1996 Jaguar XJ6 X300.

A lover of the music of Frédéric Chopin, Wojciech Kilar and Dmitri Shostakovich; the books of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and Varlam Shalamov; the “Meditations” of Marcus Aurelius; the short stories of Anton Chekhov; the poetry of Wisława Szymborska and Czesław Miłosz; Roman Polański's films “The Pianist” and “Chinatown”, and above all Peter Jackson's “The Lord of the Rings”, based on the novel by J.R.R. Tolkien.
